MEET THE FELLOWS! 2020
On Saturday, the 1st of February, 2020, the three new grant holders of the Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography will present themselves in the context of MEET THE FELLOWS! 2020 in Wuppertal.
In a conversation with presenter Prasanna Oommen they will talk about their artistic work, their cooperation partners and their Fellowship plans.
In the second part of the evening, the 2019 Fellows Ariel Moreira, Lee Méir, Marc Philipp Gabriel and Martha Hincapié Charry will present what they have experienced during their Fellowship months and what influence these new experiences have had on their everyday life and artistic work. In between, there will be opportunities for exchange.
Already one day before, on Friday 31st of January 2020, Marc Philipp Gabriel and Ariel Moreira will share their Fellowship experiences during a workshop at Die Börse. In a playful way, with elements of drag performance and Butoh, the participants will explore the poetical and political transformation of the body in dance and theatre. The workshop is open to everyone over 16 years of age with or without movement experience and welcomes people of all abilities. The workshop is rounded off with an improvised Butoh performance by Ariel, which all workshop participants are invited to join!

The workshop will be held in English, Marc will help with translations. The venue has wheelchair access via lift and barrier-free sanitary facilities.
Introduction New Fellows 2020 and Final Lectures Fellows 2019

Course of event: Doors open at 5:30 PM, start Introduction New Fellows 2020 at 6 PM, followed by a break, start Final Lectures of the Fellows 2019 at 7:30 PM, with a short break at approx. 8:30 PM

Deutsche Bahn customers travelling from and to Wuppertal must adjust to restrictions and disruptions from 31st of January approx. 11 PM until 3rd of February 3 AM, as work is being carried out on overhead lines and platforms.
